My Camp is a summer camp for the children of prisoners, children affected by a loved ones substance addiction, or children experiencing high levels of trauma. My Camp offers a program designed around their specialized needs.
​The powerful, positive, impact of a one week camping  experience cannot be discounted. It is a life-changing experience.

Summer camps, for kids ages 5 to 18, are uniquely designed for at-risk children and youth. Children have a chance to just be kids as they participate in swimming, horseback riding, archery, games, and arts and crafts, but summer camps provide much more. Children learn they are not the only ones with a parent in prison, and they interact with staff who had similar experiences growing up. In addition to all the fun activities, there are classes which provide children with tools to make healthy choices, process grief, and realize their value and dreams. Children learn life skills including conflict resolution and anger management and have opportunities to increase their social and emotional development by participating in group activities, going horseback riding, and connecting with God. 

My Camp creates an environment where campers are not only supported but celebrated. Campers have a safe place to share their hurts but also learn valuable life skills while making  friendships to last a lifetime.

Day Camp

9:30 am - 5:00 pm 
For ages 6-8 and ages 8+
Special accommodations maybe considered. 
A 5 day, day only program for younger campers and for campers who may need a more personalized camp experience. 

Boys Week

July 10th-14th, 2023
For ages 8-15
A five day, four night overnight camp for boys in the local Southern Indiana and Louisville area.

An intensive, but fun, 3-week program that gives alumni campers a chance to learn leadership skills while enjoying the camp environment they know and love. Leadership Camper have a personal week of camp with an opportunity to continue for another 2 weeks.

​Covid-19 and Health and Safety Concerns

Cleanliness and Hygiene are extremely important during any week of camp. With Covid-19 in the forefront of everyone care and safety plans, Christian Formation Ministries and My Camp of Southern Indiana will be doing our part in helping to stop the spread and easing concerns. Every volunteer and camper can help do their part in keeping camp clean and safe. 

The following guidelines are in review and will be updated as needs come up: ​• Temperature checks will be taken at check in, check out, and daily; during the summer season or until no longer recommended.
​This will be for both volunteers and campers. 
  • My Camps continued commitment to small camp groups and cabin sizes with no more than 24 campers onsite at any given time with the necessary staff numbers in site. 
  • Temperature checks upon check in, check out, and at random to daily checks as deemed necessary. 
  • Social distance sleeping arrangements.  
  • Hand washing more consistently and having hand sanitizer more readily available between activities. 
  • No sharing of personal products or clothing between campers or volunteers.
  • Sanitizing and/or wiping down spaces or objects that are community used (doorknobs, craft stations, archery stations, etc.)
  • Masks are recommended but may not be enforced during time of camp.
  • Masks and gloves will be necessary for Support Staff, Leadership Campers, and Volunteers to serve food during Mealtime Routine.  
  • Volunteers and campers will continue to shower daily and may be requested to shower additionally throughout the day should concern arise. 
  • Camp Store will be condensed to snacks and drinks, with a few small craft style activities not conditioned to sharing.
  • Campers and volunteers will be requested to keep their backpack, water bottle, and hand sanitizer with them at all times.
